Born in France, in a very artistic family ( music, paintings, glass, poetry ) At a young age I was absorbed with drawings and illustrations and copied some of the most magical landscapes of Gaugin.
I studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Appliqués in Paris and came out able to work as interieur architect and furnitures designer.
After a few years looking for a spiritual path, I was engaged in India by an International group of architects building temples, shrines, and guest houses. Back to France I took a Sabbatical year and decided to get back to what I always wanted to do: making paintings. At that time I lived in Aix en Provence just above the atelier of Cezanne. There I made many studies of the Sainte Victoire and of the trees on the Chemin des Lauves, trying to understand what Cezanne's pure approach of painting was telling me. I developped a passion for the colours of south of Francebut could not stay there. After a while I was offered an opportunity to start an art studio in Amsterdam. I currently live and work there.
My inspiration comes from a deep desire to extract from my guts the most interesting, actual, striking, subtle painting possible and share it with you. That Art is the result of my observations of 'all the people that live inside of us' full of hopes, despair, joy, desires and express in it our interactions with nature and each other.
I want to paint the mysteries of our bodies and minds. I think that Art History belongs to all mankind. I am sure that cultural diversity is necessary for a beter world. I am interested in our contradictions, vulnerability, sensuality and everyday with colours and faith let Art with all its possibilities be.
